ABOUT SPECTRUM HEALTH CARE INC.
Since 1984, Spectrum Health Care Inc. in Jersey City, N.J., has provided outpatient opioid care through a 30-day detoxification program and Methadone maintenance services. The organization serves residents of Hudson County and treats individuals with co-occurring disorders.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
Clients will have an individualized treatment plan based on a bio-psycho-social assessment and screening. If a client needs services other than opioid therapy, they will be referred to another treatment facility.
For individuals needing detoxification, Spectrum Health Care Inc., clients participate in a 30-day outpatient detox program.
The center will connect clients with local Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and Narcotics Anonymous (NA) meetings. Clients will participate in individual and group counseling, stress and anger management classes, and assertiveness training. Medication management and relapse prevention services are available.
Methadone maintenance is provided to clients who have been determined to need it in the form of a tablet or liquid.
A women’s intensive outpatient program focuses on women’s issues including self-esteem, parenting, domestic violence, and more.
Clients may become eligible for take-home bottle (THB) dosing privileges following three months of negative test screenings and other mandates. Clients must continue to regularly attend groups and programs.
The center will also refer clients to legal, educational, vocational, and housing services as needed. HIV testing and counseling is also available.

If you want to get clean and get your life back this is the place. I’ve tried other places and none come even close… Great counseling and humble people,” Chris wrote in a representative review.

The individual gave the center five out of five stars for its level of family participation and the staff’s level of experience and training. “Family members participate with clients recovery to the end of graduation,” the anonymous loved one wrote. However, while the anonymous individual indicated that while “follow up with housing and doctors” was a strength of the facility, assisting clients find work was a weakness.
