TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
As part of a larger offering that includes crisis stabilization and treatment for psychiatric disorders, Jersey City Medical Center provides some services for adults who are struggling with chemical dependency. Medical care is available 24/7 to meet the needs of clients.
Assessments are conducted by multidisciplinary teams of specialists to create a holistic perspective of a client’s health. The center administers drug testing and provides monitoring when needed to help clients maintain their sobriety. Treatment is offered through intensive outpatient groups. Treatment includes counseling as individuals, groups, or families. Patients may continue to receive aftercare following the completion of their treatment.
According to Jersey City Medical Center’s website, the staff is available 24 hours per day, seven days per week. The multidisciplinary treatment team includes physicians, psychiatrists, nurses, and counselors. The hospital and its staff are accredited and licensed while holding higher education degrees in their respective specialties.
At the time of this writing, one alum of Jersey City Medical Center’s Behavioral Health Services has submitted feedback to Best-rehabs.com. The feedback was positive.
Alum Mariano gave the program’s treatment effectiveness four out of five stars, but warned potential patients that success was relative to their effort and willingness to commit to the program. He gave holistic treatment offerings, cleanliness, and accommodations and amenities five out of five stars each.
On Google, the entire medical center earned an average of 2.8 out of five stars from 127 reviews. While most of the reviews centered around the emergency room, the few that discussed behavioral services were not very positive. Loved one Michael was disappointed in his wife’s treatment and wrote: “It was a complete waste of time and should never go here because they may just keep you their against your will for hours and you will still have nothing done.”
According to Jersey City Medical Center’s website, the hospital works with most major insurance providers. Additionally, both Medicare and Medicaid are accepted. Financial assistance is available as Jersey City Medical Center does not refuse services based on an individual’s inability to pay for services.
