ABOUT FLACRA FARMINGTON OUTPATIENT CLINIC IN FARMINGTON, NY
Finger Lakes Area Counseling and Recovery Agency (FLACRA), located in Farmington, N.Y., offers outpatient treatment to individuals struggling with substance abuse. The private, non-profit organization was founded in 1973. In addition to the Farmington facility, FLACRA operates five other outpatient clinics, two community residences, one addiction crisis center, seven supportive living programs, and 59 independent living apartments for homeless or at-risk individuals throughout the Finger Lakes region.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
FLACRA’s treatment program seeks to create a personalized, strength-based pathway to recovery for each client. To be admitted, clients can either call the facility directly or use the 24-hour Addiction Crisis Line to speak to someone immediately.
Throughout treatment, clients receive evaluation, treatment planning, individual counseling, certified one-on-one peer coaching, group sessions, family and youth counseling, relapse prevention, and recovery planning. Aftercare Services are available for all clients who successfully complete the program. Alumni are eligible to participate in an ongoing advisory group after program completion.
STAFF CREDENTIALS
The treatment team at FLACRA includes more than 250 full-time, part-time and per diem staff which includes: Program Supervisors, credentialed Substance Abuse Counselors, Nurses, Vocational and Therapy Aides, and administrative staff.
REVIEWS
At the time of this writing there has been one alum polled by Best-rehabs.com. The reviewer gave FLACRA mixed reviews, giving it excellent ratings in some areas and poor ratings in others. She strongly disagreed that there are many counseling options to choose from, strongly disagreed that the facility is adequately equipped and staffed to treat co-occurring mental health problems, and strongly disagreed that facility staff are experienced and well-trained. She felt that a strength of the facility was the “enormous support systems.” When asked about facility weaknesses, she wrote, “many patients not enough staff.” She also added, “This facility helped change my life and helped get me on the right track.”
