  • I wouldn't recommend applying for any position at Horizon Health Services. Management was terrible, didn't accommodate to the employee, pay rate wasn't the best and the hours were terrible. Do not work here for the sanity of your mental health.
This is the most god awful rehab. The staff are all textbook taught and can not relate to anyone there. Also they are more concerned about the money than your recovery. If you are caught with "contraband" in your room which could be as simple as a glass of water you are restricted from attending AA meetings which I always thought were part of your recovery. So they are punishing people by taking away their recovery options? The simple answer for anyone questioning anything they say which they make up new rules every day that are not in the handbook is to kick people out and fill their bed with the next person waiting. They know there are literally thousands of people waiting so your just a number. They have maybe 3-4 groups per day and are constantly canceling groups whenever there is a matter involving the business or they have "meetings". The staff here act like they are prison guards rather than the warm welcome feeling you would expect dealing with people in recovery from alcoholism and drug addiction. I also was unable to get simple over the counter antacid medicine or tums for the first week I was here causing my esophagus to become inflamed and bleed. I would never recommend this place to anyone that is in a bad place and needs help.

  • Innovative treatment, caring staff, country setting, wellness counseling, MH and psych services on site. Intense program and treat individuals with respect and dignity. Have 14 acres and a lot to do on the campus. Are expanding to include a 25 bed facility for 18-25 year olds due to the heroin epidemic and the great need for treatment for this population.
