ABOUT WCA HOSPITAL – JONES MEMORIAL HEALTH CENTER OUTPATIENT CHEMICAL DEPENDENCY & MENTAL HEALTH

Part of WCA Hospital of Jamestown, NY, Jones Memorial Health Center provides inpatient and outpatient-based treatment for individuals and their families who are struggling with substance abuse issues and/or co-occurring mental health disorders. To treat its diverse clientele, Spanish language program tracks are also available. If necessary, Jones Memorial Health Center provides crisis intervention services. Medical detox is not available on site.

TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT

Before clients begin treatment, clinicians perform an initial substance abuse and/or psychiatric evaluation to develop an individualized treatment plan. Core treatment components include individual and group therapy sessions that address the psychological contributors to addictive behavior. Clients with a primary mental health issue also receive medication management to alleviate symptoms of the condition.

While the outpatient program does not hold on-site self-help meetings, the program provides links clients with support groups in the community, such as 12-Steps support groups. Family involvement is also highly encouraged, and Jones Memorial Health Center facilitates both multi-family support groups and individual family counseling sessions.

As an outpatient program, Jones Memorial Health Center focuses on relapse prevention to promote sustained sobriety in real-world situations. Relapse prevention topics may include anger management, stress reduction, coping skills, and avoiding triggers.

The inpatient program has 13 beds. As part of a hospital program, clients should expect a clinical setting. The seven individuals polled by Rehab.com gave the accommodations an average rating of 3.9 out of five stars.

Accredited by the Joint Commission, Jones Memorial Health Center employs a qualified, multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, licensed addiction counselors, family and marriage therapists, mental health counselors, social workers, dietitians, nurses, and a recreation therapist.

  • The counselors, when I was there, had experience and knowledge about addiction. Since I left the good counselors left and new ones don't have much personal experience. They should have more NA/AA meetings in there

  • They got me drug free! It's a very basic facility. It has good programs, but it's a lower end facility. Iy worked well for me though. Kind and caring staff is a plus though!
