The Community Health Center is dedicated to improving the quality of life. We are a leading provider of effective services for compulsive and addictive disorders, healthcare, life skills development, prevention, housing, wellness, and rehabilitation. We believe that chemical dependency is a progressive, fatal illness that can be effectively treated.

ABOUT COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTER

The Community Health Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that offers detoxification, residential, and outpatient services for adult men and women struggling with substance abuse. In addition, we provide medical care, educational seminars, and housing options along with outpatient services for adolescents. This is a unique offering, as only 31.3 percent of treatment centers in the state provide these services.

The Community Health Center is also among the 30 percent of substance abuse treatment centers in Ohio that offer medication management on-site, including Suboxone and methadone treatment.

TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT

The Community Health Center believes that addiction is a disease and provides individualized treatment plans. Our holistic approach includes individual, group, and family counseling, healthcare, and educational seminars. The residential program typically lasts between 90 and 120 days.

We also offer vocational assistance, housing, case management, childcare services, and medical services. Furthermore, we are one of the 43.3 percent of Ohio treatment facilities that offer specialty programming for women. Women who complete the residential program can also transition into sober-living facilities.

Adolescent treatment includes individual and group therapy, animal-assisted therapy, and a specialized group for teen girls. In 2016, 2.16 percent of adolescents ages 12 to 17 in Ohio exhibited alcohol use disorder, and 4.29 percent had substance use disorder. Our detoxification program lasts three to five days, followed by Intensive Outpatient Treatment (IOP) with evening hours.

Detoxification may involve Suboxone and methadone treatment.

  • Kind understanding people who did not make you feel judged and offered a lot of support. I liked that they kept you as comfortable as possible with the withdrawal by giving medication that helped with the symptoms and then weaning you off and you got the same when it came to emotional support plenty of counseling and group meetings to help get you through some of the toughest days of your life

  • Excellent clinical staff. Clinical and medical staff are well versed in evidenced based practice and have been offering specialized treatment for women. Medication-assisted program combined medical and clinical components to offer comprehensive care. Most clinical staff are licensed in Chemical Dependency and Mental Health. Support groups, out-pt, IOP and residential services, transitional housing and permanent housing are available. Ok for psych education, not great for therapeutic groups.
