At the Lindner Center of HOPE, we recognize that addiction is a medical condition. When facing Substance use disorders (SUDs), patients often require a combination of medical care and professional support to effectively manage it.
For this reason, we have assembled a highly skilled and dedicated team of addiction specialists who develop personalized plans for each patient. These plans may include medication-assisted treatment, therapy, support groups, and other comprehensive methods, such as addressing underlying issues like depression or anxiety.
Because the most successful treatments focus on the entire individual, we also offer assistance to patients with related medical concerns, such as pregnancy while addicted, HIV and STDs, and other conditions. We connect these patients with resources in the community or collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure they receive the necessary care. We even provide resources to help patients rebuild their everyday lives, develop recovery skills, and establish connections to vocation, education, and employment support.
ABOUT HOPE CENTER NORTH
Located in the community of Mason, Ohio, 22 miles northeast of Cincinnati, Hope Center North delivers a range of outpatient-based treatment services for adults struggling with chemical dependency, as well as co-occurring mental health concerns. Operating under the auspices of the Lindner Center of Hope, a local treatment provider, the facility provides an intensive outpatient program (IOP), support groups, and a medication-assisted treatment (MAT) program specifically designed for individuals recovering from opioid addiction.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
Prior to commencing treatment, clients undergo an initial assessment to determine their individual needs and ensure that outpatient care is appropriate for them. If a client is dealing with opioid addiction, they may be referred to the facility’s MAT program. Additionally, walk-in assessments are available on weekday mornings for individuals interested in enrolling in Hope Center North’s Suboxone or methadone maintenance program.
If an individual requires a more structured approach during early recovery, they may be referred to Hope Center North’s intensive outpatient program, which entails attending three evening sessions per week on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Each session lasts three hours, and the program typically spans approximately 12 weeks. Clients enrolled in the intensive outpatient program may also participate in medication-assisted treatment concurrently, as the prescribed medications help alleviate withdrawal symptoms and cravings associated with opioid dependency.
Hope Center North employs various evidence-based therapeutic approaches within the intensive outpatient program, including motivational interviewing (MI), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT). These methodologies assist clients in setting achievable goals, identifying irrational thinking patterns, and modifying addictive behavior. While enrolled in the intensive outpatient program, clients primarily engage in group counseling sessions, although individual and family counseling may also be incorporated. The facility also offers consultations with loved ones to involve them in the recovery process.
In addition to counseling sessions, clients attend psychoeducational classes that address the disease model of addiction, relapse prevention strategies, and co-occurring concerns, such as anxiety or depression, that may contribute to addictive behavior. Hope Center North also hosts on-site 12-Step meetings and other self-help group meetings, such as SMART Recovery.
To support its diverse population, Hope Center North provides referrals to community-based resources for pregnant clients, individuals with HIV or STDs, or other medical-related concerns. The facility also offers appropriate referrals for individuals with co-occurring mental health concerns to receive psychiatric evaluations and ongoing medication management. Before completing the intensive outpatient program, the facility assists clients in creating comprehensive discharge plans, which may include connections to vocational training, education, and employment opportunities.
