ABOUT PERRY BEHAVIORAL HEALTH CHOICES
Perry Behavioral Health Choices provides residential, outpatient, assessment, case management, and preventive substance abuse treatment for residents of Perry County in Ohio. The state-funded program operates Stanton Villa, a women’s residential rehabilitation center which also serves clients from surrounding counties. Detox is available on site. Aftercare services are also available on site including employment support.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
The treatment process at Perry Behavioral Choices begins with a meeting with an admission specialist to complete the necessary assessments and to schedule a full assessment by a licensed professional. Clients meet with the professional to identify key treatment needs. Clients are assigned to the treatment program that is appropriate.
Women in need of detox are admitted to the Stanton Villa. It is a residential treatment program that lasts six weeks. Men and other clients that do not need detox are enrolled in outpatient services as needed.
Treatment consists of individual and group counseling combined with educational coursework. Clients also participate in preventive and aftercare planning services. Case managers are available to help coordinate clients’ care.
Aftercare services are available to help clients implement sober living strategies in their daily lives. Clients receive employment support to acquire and keep gainful employment after leaving treatment. Follow-up services including periodic drug testing, support groups, and aftercare programs are available throughout the year to refresh clients’ sober living skills.
Family participation is encouraged throughout treatment. Family counseling services are provided as needed to reestablish support networks within clients’ homes. Clients are encouraged to seek help from family members to gain support throughout the treatment process.
