BestCare- Klamath Falls Residential Treatment

ABOUT BESTCARE — KLAMATH FALLS RESIDENTIAL TREATMENT

Founded in 1997, nonprofit BestCare operates five outpatient facilities and three residential centers in central Oregon for individuals struggling with substance abuse and mental health disorders. Among its centers is the only Spanish-speaking rehab in Oregon.

The Klamath Falls residential center, located on the eastern outskirts of the small city in southwestern Oregon, offers medically managed detox and short-term residential treatment.

TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT

According to the facility’s website, the center offers Subutex to aid with opiate withdrawal, but only during detox, not for long-term use.

The residential program lasts on average 25 to 45 days, and uses an individualized, multidisciplinary approach. Specifically, it uses a variety of evidence-based practices, such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), Seeking Safety, and moral reconation therapy (MRT).

Clients also attend daily 12-step meetings and weekly 12-step facilitation sessions. Residents participate in regular individual, group, and family therapy.

The center also offers some holistic options, such as yoga, mindfulness, and art therapy. And each day begins with chores and ends with a gratitude session.

STAFF CREDENTIALS

The facility’s website notes the medical director of this facility is a licensed addiction specialist. The treatment team includes licensed, certified nurses and counselors. The single alumni polled by Best-rehabs.com at the time of this writing gave five out of five stars for the staff’s level of training and experience.

ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES

The center’s website indicates families are welcome to visit on Saturday afternoons, and in certain cases, clients can receive weekend passes to visit family during their program. Both individuals polled by Best-rehabs.com to date gave the center five out of five stars for its accommodations, its meals, and its cleanliness.

WHAT ALUMNI SAY

The only alum surveyed by Best-rehabs.com at the time of this writing provided positive feedback. Christina gave five out of five stars when asked if she would recommend Klamath Falls Residential Treatment, its treatment effectiveness, and the center’s treatment of co-occurring disorders.

“Knowledgeable, relatable, and empathetic staff. The structure was great. The program and counseling was life-saving… I now have over four years clean and sober thanks to Best Care.” the alum wrote.

The only alum who left a review on Yellowpage.com at the time of this writing provided a one out of five star review. “DO NOT attend the follow-up program! It will only lead you back to your addiction. Rehab on Main street was good,” she wrote.

To date, the 34 individuals who left reviews on the facility’s Facebook page, which the center has the ability to manage, provided an average 4.7 out of five stars. Facebook reviewers frequently noted that BestCare had saved their lives, and praised the staff and the lessons they learned during their time in the organization’s care. “I am so grateful to Best Care, and all of the great, loving, and caring counselors that are at the Klamath Falls Best Care. You have brought me out of a life of despair, to a life of hope, and for that I will be eternally grateful,” Kurt wrote in a representative review.

WHAT FRIENDS & FAMILY SAY

The lone loved one questioned by Best-rehabs.com at the time of this writing left a positive review. Richard, who is in long-term sobriety and has sponsored several graduates of the BestCare program, wrote that he would recommend treatment at this facility. He also gave five out of five stars for counseling options and its staff support.

“From my experience I have seen proof that this program they have works for many people… I feel it is a very good treatment facility,” he wrote.

FINANCING

According to the facility’s website, treatment is covered by most health insurance plans, and the center is in-network with many of Oregon’s major providers. The center also accepts cash, checks, and credit cards, and offers some assistance for those suffering financial hardship. The single alum surveyed by Best-rehabs.com at the time of this writing gave five out of five stars when asked if treatment was worth the cost.

  • Knowledgeable, relatable, and empathetic staff. The structure was great. The program and counseling was life-saving.However, this isn't a day spa. I got what I needed and it saved my life! I discovered that nearly everything I thought I knew was wrong. I learned that I was my problem. I learned my using was a symptom of my bigger issues. The classes were incredible. Anger Management was probably my favorite and most needed. Learning I couldn't control anything other than my actions and reactions was actually super empowering. I loved all the classes. I loved the mandatory exercising and cleaning. I loved the structure and routine. I felt super safe. I feel like conflicts were resolved in a great way, which taught me how to approach conflicts in the future. I felt like all the rules and disciplines were fair. I am appreciative in how they also helped you set up your aftercare and madelete sure your housing was good for your recovery. Because of what I learned in rehab, I maintained two 12-step meetings a day, as well as Outpatient Treatment for a year after I got out. I now have over four years clean and sober thanks to Best Care.
