This includes evidence-based and holistic methods as well as more traditional talk therapies. Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing (MI) are the primary therapeutic modalities.

Treatment takes place in the settings of individual and group counseling and educational sessions. Clients are also advised to participate in 12-step meetings. All clients must participate in urine analysis tests throughout treatment. A family program provides education and emotional support through sessions on a rotating curriculum.
The staff at Kolpia includes two licensed clinical social workers, several certified drug and alcohol counselors, and a registered yoga teacher. A nutritionist and expressive art therapist are also available.
