ABOUT CARON TREATMENT CENTERS
Caron Treatment Centers, nestled in the hills of Wernersville, Pa., is one of multiple Caron facilities located nationwide. The center offers substance abuse and co-occurring mental health treatment for a variety of populations, including teens, adults, seniors, and professionals. Programming includes assessments, residential care, and on-site detox. Outpatient treatment is not available at this facility, but such services are offered at other Caron treatment centers.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
Caron’s treatment team takes an in-depth approach to client evaluation by using the first five days of a client’s stay to conduct a comprehensive residential assessment. Staff use medical, psychological, psychiatric, social, and neurocognitive assessments, as well as lab work, to create an individualized treatment plan.
Clients who require medical care and monitoring may begin their treatment in the center’s on-site detox unit, which provides 24-hour support and supervision. Once stabilized, clients move on to residential treatment, which is gender-specific and age-appropriate. Programming is grounded in 12-step principles and includes individual counseling, process groups, and family therapy. Neurofeedback therapy is used to manage moods and anxiety, and clients attend educational workshops on addiction and relapse prevention. Wellness professionals are available to provide guidance regarding nutrition and fitness.
For clients who are still attending school, Caron offers on-site education and GED tutoring and testing. Adult clients may access vocational training and programming designed to prepare them for steady employment. There is also treatment for healthcare professionals as well as an executives program at Grandview. Continuing care and an online aftercare program are availablbe for clients who complete treatment.
