Assisted Recovery, located in Cranston, R.I., treats adults with opiate dependence. Using Suboxone treatment, the center has helped more than 5,000 people since it opened in 2006.


One of 30 Suboxone facilities in Rhode Island (57 percent), Assisted Recovery offers walk-in treatment. It is a Medicine Assisted Treatment (MAT) facility that prioritizes detoxification without withdrawal.

The clinic offers buprenorphine through specially trained doctors and an on-site pharmacy. The center stresses individual care and long-term therapy for each client.


Substance abuse treatment staff at Assisted Recovery include psychiatrists, an emergency room specialist, a hormone replacement specialist, and pain management staff.


The clinic is has a residential feel, located in a large, white, multi-story house. Photos show a roomy home setting in a neighborhood. A pharmacy is located on-site so patients receive medication at the time of their visits.
