ABOUT CAROLINAS HOSPITAL SYSTEM BRUCE HALL
Part of the Carolinas Hospital System Florence facility in South Carolina’s Pee Dee Region, Bruce Hall offers detoxification and short-term inpatient treatment for adults struggling with substance use disorders. The rehab center is one of just 12.3 percent of South Carolina’s 114 addiction facilities to provide hospital-based detoxification.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
Individualized treatment plans at Bruce Hall are designed to support patients through stabilization and intensive inpatient care focused on preparing for relapse prevention. Assessments consider client motivation for recovery as well as identifying co-occurring mental health needs. The facility may utilize medications to alleviate the discomfort of withdrawal. Family members may also be involved directly in planning, both for treatment and for continuing care following discharge.
The Carolinas Hospital System takes a psychobiosocial approach, according to its website, and during this stage of care, patients participate in individual and group therapy, and 12-step meetings are held on-site. Educational and therapy sessions are offered to family members as well.
According to a Bruce Hall online brochure, the facility partners with Pee Dee Mental Health, an outpatient treatment agency in the region. Before the patient is discharged from inpatient, clinicians may refer the individual to outpatient-based treatment.
