Steps House

Steps House

Located in Knoxville, Tenn., Steps House operates 38 different residential facilities for men struggling with addiction. The center also has a specialized program for veterans struggling with addiction and/or homelessness. Detox is not available on-site.

According to the center’s website, the residential program is based on a three-phase process, and each resident must pass each phase to achieve financial independence, sobriety, legal freedom, discipline, and responsibility. Clients may remain in treatment until they no longer need help.

After completing the program, some residents decide to stay in long-term independent living. All individuals in the residential program must be 18 or older, able to work full-time and/or assume financial responsibility, and be sober. Residents are screened before being admitted into the program.

The center also has a specialized program for veterans. The program is designed to take into account the specific needs of veterans who are homeless and is able to accommodate up to 40 service men at a time.

The center’s website indicates the treatment team includes counselor techs and counselors.

Steps House’s website states all homes are fully furnished with all the needed amenities. Steps House has 38 different facilities in Tennessee with 140 beds.
