ABOUT GLEN OAKS HOSPITAL

Located in Greenville, Texas, Glen Oaks Hospital provides mental health and substance abuse treatment for adults and adolescents. The private hospital offers a partial hospitalization (PHP), an intensive outpatient program (IOP), and general outpatient services. Detox is available on site.

TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT

Treatment at Glen Oaks Hospital begins with a comprehensive needs and condition assessment. Assessments are free and admissions are accepted 24 hours per day. Referrals from other medical facilities are accepted as well and can be provided for other facilities if needed. Clients are then assigned to the least restrictive level of care that will be successful.

Treatment consists of an individualized path including group meetings, counseling, and recreational activities. The adult and adolescent PHPs meet five days per week. Aside from clinical treatments, clients can participate in a range of alternative and recreational therapies.

The alternative therapy options include equine therapy and physical fitness training. Clients try to establish healthy habits by increasing their exposure to other things.

Treatment continues with participation in 12-step meetings and educational coursework. Vocational training is provided to help clients maintain employment. Educational courses focus on providing clients with sober living skills.

Family participation is highly encouraged throughout the process. Family counseling is provided to repair family relationships. At the end of treatment, clients transition back into the community through a step-down process through the outpatient programs and ending with participation in community groups.
