Hill Country Detox is a sub-acute detox facility located in Buda, Texas. We provide luxury accommodations for individuals who are seeking long-term sobriety from drugs and alcohol. One of the main challenges in achieving sobriety is the withdrawal symptoms experienced during the quitting process. Attempting to quit at home can be difficult and uncomfortable. At Hill Country Detox, our luxury, Mediterranean-style housing and medical detox program offer a high quality of care similar to a medical facility, without the discomfort of hospitalization.

Located in Texas’ rolling Hill Country, Hill Country Detox offers luxury, sub-acute medical detox services for individuals struggling with drug and/or alcohol addiction.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
Treatment at Hill Country Detox begins with a comprehensive assessment within 24 hours of admission. This assessment helps determine the client’s medical and other needs. The length of treatment varies based on the client’s needs, with most clients staying between five and seven days.
Hill Country Detox provides round-the-clock medical supervision and withdrawal management using Suboxone and Subutex, as well as necessary pain medications. Alongside the safe and comfortable withdrawal process, the facility offers therapeutic services to help clients address the root causes of their addiction. Each client follows an individualized program that includes a combination of individual and group counseling, case management, and family support.
After detox is complete, Hill Country Detox emphasizes the importance of progressing to further treatment. Referrals to residential, outpatient, and sober-living service providers are available, primarily at our sister facility Nova Recovery Center.
STAFF CREDENTIALS
The staff at Hill Country Detox includes a licensed MD specializing in psychiatry, a master’s level counselor specializing in implementing Brene Brown’s Daring Way curriculum, and another detox counselor. Additionally, there are nurses on-site 24/7.
ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES
Hill Country Detox takes pride in its luxurious accommodations. Situated on 22 acres of land, the campus features amenities such as a putting green, an outdoor pool with a lounge area, a patio, and manicured gardens. Clients sleep in single beds within shared bedrooms, each equipped with a TV. Private rooms are available upon request. The bathrooms are opulently decorated with marble. An on-site chef prepares meals and snacks.
Car service to and from the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport is included in the price of treatment.

One alum of Hill Country Detox provided positive feedback to Best-rehabs.com. They stated, “Helped me tremendously.” Secondary sites yielded mostly positive reviews, with an average rating of 4.3 stars based on nine Google reviews at the time of writing.
While one alum left a negative review citing lack of staff monitoring, discomfort, inadequate medications, and poor food, other alumni disagreed and praised the facility. One alum wrote, “I never intended for Nova to work and it enabled me to find a different direction,” while another added, “This is a beautiful home-style Detox with a calming Hill Country Setting.”

Hill Country Detox accepts a variety of private insurance plans. The facility’s staff will check clients’ insurance eligibility on their behalf prior to admission.
