ABOUT AMS OF WISCONSIN LLC
Located just off Interstate 90 in in Onalaska, Wis., AMS of Wisconsin, which is a member of Addiction Medical Solutions LLC, provides outpatient substance abuse and related behavioral health treatment for adult men and women. The facility offers a wide range of services, including medically managed detox and medication-assisted treatment for individuals addicted to opiates.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
Treatment begins with a comprehensive evaluation by medical and counseling staff, from which an individualized treatment plan is created.
The facility utilizes evidence-based cognitive behavioral and motivational counseling services to treat clients on an outpatient basis — typically those who have already completed a residential treatment program. AMS offers three levels of treatment — intensive outpatient (IOP), outpatient (OP), and aftercare. The IOP is the most intensive level of treatment, involving group therapy and education, and it meets for three hours a week three times a week. The outpatient program meets once a week, and aftercare is arranged based on the specific needs of each client. Day and evening treatment sessions are available.
In addition, AMS offers other a la carte counseling services and components, including discharge and transition planning, access to multicultural resources, relapse prevention workshops. introduction to 12-step meetings, and other self-help groups, drug screenings, and legal advocacy.
