Individuals with a primary psychiatric concern or a co-occurring mental health disorder also receive ongoing medication management. Banner Desert Medical Center provides age-specific outpatient programs. Each program focuses on the specific needs of each age group, and tailors treatments accordingly. Specialized services including medication management and alternative therapies are available based on the needs of each group.

In addition to substance abuse treatment, clients participate in sober living and coping skills training. These include educational components for managing stress, prevention skills, and relapse management skills. Alternative therapies including music and pet therapy are made available as well.
