  • The team approach is one of unity, responsibility and integrity. They offer the best treatment to their clients and individualize their care for each client. I cannot think of one weakness. This was not just a program to get sober at. This program gives people a second chance to follow their dreams and rebuild their life.

  • I am personally impressed with the program I attended three years ago as well as the developed program that currently offers quality recovery to young, struggling addicts/alcoholics. This program saved my life after I was in and out of 13 treatment centers by the age of 22. When I came to Freedom Recovery Center they offered me a trusting relationships and guided me into a life with substance and purpose. I was the worst kind of heroin addict and I welcomed death after screwing over so many family and friends. Today my family can trust me. They are proud to call me their daughter today and they welcome me into their home. I live my dreams today and I am happy to be in my shoes. I am grateful that programs like Freedom Recovery Center exist.

  • Caring and professional staff. I didn't have any complaints. In April of 2013 I attended a six week residential chemical dependency program in Oshkosh, Wisconsin after years of heroin use. I was lost, beaten and broken. During my stay there, two members of Freedom Recovery Center came on separate occasions to share their experiences with us. I was in awe of their stories, where they had come from and the men they had grown to be. It was then that I made the commitment to come to Freedom Recovery Center, hoping that they could do for me what they had done for those two men. Upon arrival, I was welcomed with open arms by a group of people that seemed to understand me as no one had before. I knew little of my condition; I was motivated by a glimmer of hope and the fear of a swift return to the “life” I had been living with my imminent and premature death undoubtedly soon to follow. I quickly learned that my use of drugs and alcohol was not my problem, it was merely a symptom of something much deeper; I was using them to treat a condition that I was unaware I possessed. A condition I have come to call alcoholism. During my treatment I acquired a sponsor. His guidance, as well as that of the house, showed me a new way of life. A better way of life, guided by principles. Through this program of action I have been able to accomplish things that had so recently been beyond my grasp. I have held onto a job, formed and maintained healthy relationships, reclaimed the trust of my family and friends, gained confidence and acceptance for myself, stayed sober for an extended period of time, and, to my great surprise, had a lot of fun. There were, of course, challenges along the way. Times that I felt I was unable to go on. The men that have since become my family, carried me through when I was too weak to keep moving. I firmly believe that New Freedom not only saved my life, but also gave me an opportunity to create a new one. I came because I was afraid to die, I left with a desire to live.

  • Housing was worse than a frat house, very degrading treatments. Although it's gotten better as it's turned from half way house to treatment center accepting private insurance, still has a way to go and I wouldn't never recommend anyone to go there as there are at least 10 places that are better in town that will also take the same insurance policies. They also charge $500 rent a month when you can only work 30 hours a week at your (usually minimum wage job) which leaves no money to save to start fresh after 6 months which is supposedly the point of these long term structured sober living programs: a place like clean adventures makes you turn in your checks while working in their program however it's given back to you if yo complete, thus still teaching you the lesson of "paying rent" but not financially crippling you at the same time: honestly it's a Scam to get more money out of people usually already broke trying to get back on track!
