ABOUT THE PATHWAY PROGRAM
Located in Temple, Ariz., the Pathway Program provides a range of treatment services for adolescents and young adults struggling with substance use disorder. In addition to residential programs, the facility also offers outpatient options and support groups for clients and parents.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
The Pathway Program has two specialized residential programs — one for teens ages 13 to 17, and one for young adults ages 18 to 25. Treatment at the adolescent program, which is called the Step Two Recovery Center, lasts 45 days and includes individual counseling, group therapy, and regular family involvement. Residents are also given the opportunity to attend 12-step meetings and interact with same-age individuals in recovery.
Residential treatment for young adults is provided in partnership with Step One, a local sober living treatment facility. The three- to six-month program combines Step One’s structured living and 24-hour supervision with Pathway’s intensive outpatient program (IOP).
In addition to the IOP, which clients may choose attend separately from sober living, Pathway provides two specialized six- to 12-week outpatient programs for teens and young adults. Both programs meet five days a week and include counseling, 12-step support group facilitation, skill-building and coping skills groups, and aftercare options. Support groups for parents and families are also offered.
STAFF CREDENTIALS
According to the facility’s website, the treatment team includes licensed and certified substance abuse and addiction counselors, as well as an adolescent- and adult-certified psychiatrist and a residential program manager.
ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES
The Step Two Recovery Center for teens has eight beds and is located on a rural property in Gilbert, Ariz. The Step One program provides sober living for young adults in Phoenix.

There is currently no information provided on the facility’s website regarding its costs, however HealthGrove reports that the Step Two Recovery Center for teens accepts Access to Recovery vouchers and state insurance other than Medicaid.
