McClellan Memorial Veterans Hospital provides residential treatment, short-term inpatient care, a partial hospitalization program (PHP), and intensive outpatient program (IOP) for military veterans struggling with chemical dependency and psychiatric conditions, including. Patients participate in individual and group counseling sessions to address destructive patterns that contribute to addictive behaviors and, through educational classes, learn coping and relapse prevention skills. Marriage/couples counseling is available to educate loved ones about mental health and addiction.
The center offers medication management to individuals with a primary psychiatric disorder or dual diagnosis, as well as specialized counseling for those with posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), grief and loss, and other trauma-related conditions. Patients receive comprehensiveand may transition to the facility’s less intensive PHP or IOP for typically six to 10 weeks after residential care.
