New Method Wellness, located in San Juan Capistrano, California, offers residential, intensive outpatient, and medical detoxification treatment options for individuals struggling with substance abuse and dual diagnosis. Established in 2006, our facility consists of six residential homes and an outpatient treatment center.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
At New Method Wellness, we incorporate a holistic treatment approach based on the 12 steps, as well as cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy. Our individualized treatment plans cater to dual diagnosis clients and utilize evidence-based therapeutic methods. Our Residential Treatment Program includes individual counseling, group counseling, and medical detoxification. Treatment takes place three times a week, during the day or at night. Our Medical Detoxification program utilizes Suboxone and Ativan instead of methadone.
In addition to our standard programs, we offer specialized treatment tracks such as Trauma Focused, Executive Lifestyle, and LGBTQ programs. For alumni, we provide an Extended Aftercare Program that includes ongoing support and various resources.
STAFF CREDENTIALS
Our team consists of over 60 professionals, including a consulting psychiatrist, a consulting physician, nurses, licensed clinical social workers, marriage and family therapists, licensed addiction counselors, a nutrition counselor, yoga instructor, equine therapist, and Tai Chi instructor. We also have dedicated staff members to support the LGBTQ community. The staff-to-client ratio at New Method Wellness is 2:1.
ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES
Our Wellness Center for Substance Abuse features four group rooms that accommodate various therapies, along with amenities such as yoga therapy, Tai Chi, gender groups, acupuncture, massage therapy, and art therapy. We provide catered lunches five days a week.
We also offer six gender-specific residential houses, including detox houses, a transitional house, and a house for men over 35. These houses are monitored by our staff 24/7 and are equipped with grilling spaces, outdoor lounge areas, televisions, ocean views, upgraded kitchens, hardwood floors, a backyard fireplace, a pool, and a spa.
