ABOUT THE RIVERSIDE RESOLVE CENTER
Riverside Healthcare is a healthcare system that serves the Illinois counties of Kankakee, Iroquois, Will, and Grundy. The network’s main facility is Riverside Medical Center, a 312-bed hospital located 60 miles south of central Chicago. Alongside a full range of medical services, the hospital offers short-term inpatient mental health services and the Riverside Resolve Center, a unit dedicated to treating substance use disorder in adults and adolescents. The center offers a range of outpatient options for adults, and for adolescents, both residential and outpatient care. Riverside Medical Center also offers a specialized outpatient program for DUI offenders.
All services are available in Spanish as well as English.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
Upon admission, patients undergo an initial, no-cost assessment to help clinicians recommend an appropriate level of treatment. Adults who present symptoms of a dual diagnosis may be referred to a partial hospitalization program (PHP) that includes group therapy sessions, medication management, and support services for families. For adults struggling with problematic substance use alone, as opposed to dual diagnosis, there’s an intensive outpatient program (IOP), general outpatient care, and a continuing care program.
For adolescents ages 12 to 18 who are struggling with substance use disorder, Riverside Resolve Center offers residential treatment, an IOP, and general outpatient care. In addition, there are gender-specific inpatient options for adolescents aged 12 to 17 who are struggling with mental health disorders: the Bolder Program for boys and the Chrysalis Program for girls. During treatment, adolescents adhere to a structured schedule of individual, group, and family counseling sessions and receive on-site classroom instruction.
