PassageWays offers outpatient services through a holistic framework, emphasizing the recovery of mind, body, and spirit. Services include group therapy and addiction education, as well as individual therapy on an as-needed basis.
ABOUT PASSAGEWAYS
Established July 2014 in Louisville, Ky., PassageWays offers outpatient alcohol and drug addiction treatment for adult men and women. The facility recognizes dual diagnosis and is qualified to treat co-occurring mental health disorders in tandem with substance abuse. There is no detox unit on-site, but there is a medical stabilization program that can coordinate hospital stays and provide medically monitored symptom management during treatment (including Buprenorphine for opiate withdrawal).
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
According to its website, PassageWays takes a multidisciplinary, 12-step based, and holistic approach to treatment and emphasizes medically assisted treatment. The center offers individualized outpatient recovery plans that are developed for each client based on an in-depth assessment. After initial three- to five-day stabilization at a hospital (if needed), clients enter an outpatient program, of which the primary method of treatment is individual counseling, group counseling, and community-based activities.
STAFF CREDENTIALS
The PassageWays treatment team includes physicians, counselors, and clinical professionals. Its website states that staff frequently collaborate with a patient’s other physicians, other treating experts, legal consultants or representatives, and/or family members if requested and authorized by the patient.

On the facility’s Facebook page, which PassageWays can manage, four reviewers rated the facility a perfect five stars, and one reviewer on Google rated it a perfect five stars as well. FINANCING
PassageWays does not accept insurance. Treatment fees sit at $325 for 90 days, and the center offers financial aid equal to up to 90 percent of treatment cost.
