TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT

Admission to your treatment at PRIDE Institute begins with a phone call to our mental health admissions counselor. Our programs typically run for an average of 25 days, but we also accommodate 60 and 90-day stays. Throughout your treatment, we utilize the 12-Step method and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to address your needs. Our program places a strong emphasis on helping you deal with heterosexism, which we define as the stigmatization of nonheterosexual forms of emotional and affectional expression, sexual behavior, or community. You will participate in individual and group therapy sessions, receive education on HIV and sexual health, engage in relapse prevention, develop cognitive skills and anger management techniques, explore spirituality, enhance coping skills, and participate in physical exercise.

In addition to these offerings, PRIDE Institute provides unique treatments and therapies, including expressive arts therapies, a body image support group, and a transgender support group. We involve your family in the treatment program through specialized family programming and family therapy.

PRIDE Institute Reviews

Pride offers mediocre services at outrageous prices. The staff seem to care but will also complain about patients to other patients and gossip instead of focus on helping people. They will send you to collections during a pandemic
This was my first and only rehab. My sober date is 2/25/14 I couldn’t have gotten clean without my Pride family. I was taught skills, validated and kept encouraged and disciplined with my counselor and peers. I was under a former therapist there who is no longer and also under one who was director during my stay. I received all the help and guidance I could’ve hoped for. I continued care at their outpatient facility in uptown. I’ve been given a 2nd chance at life because of these great people. I want to thank them for helping me save myself.
Happiest month of my new life
Caregivers are strong when I needed my butt kicked yet compassionate when I needed a shoulder. I couldn't name weakness I received compassionate care and strong guidance when I most needed it
Treats gay men and women openly. Very expensive!!! It is too expensive... always about the $$$
