ABOUT PATHWAYS COMMUNITY HEALTH – ROLLA

Since 1974, Pathways Community Health has been providing medical, dental, and mental health services — including treatment for those struggling with substance abuse — to individuals of all ages at locations in Missouri and Louisiana. In 2014, the organization became part of the Compass Health Network, which also includes Crider Health Center and Royal Oaks Hospital. This facility in Rolla, Mo., offers residential treatment for adolescents, as well as outpatient services for adults and adolescents.

TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT

To enable staff members to develop an individualized treatment plan, all clients take a comprehensive assessment upon arrival.

The residential program for adolescents, called NAVIG8, serves clients aged 12 to 17 and is based on SAMHSA’s Eight Dimensions of Wellness (emotional, financial, social, spiritual, occupational, physical, intellectual, and environmental).

Evidence-based therapeutic activities include individual counseling, group and family therapy, co-occurring disorder counseling, addiction education, case management, and if necessary, psychiatric services. There also is an academic component so that young residents can keep up with their school work while undergoing treatment.

Outpatient services are available for children, adults, families, and groups. Similar to residential treatment, outpatient offerings include counseling, education, case management, and psychiatric evaluations.

According to information on the Compass Health Network’s website about Pathways Community Health, the organization as a whole employs a number of professionals, including psychiatrists, psychologists, licensed therapists, nurses, social workers, and certified addiction counselors. The other gave the facility a one out of five-star rating and said: “I’ve been noticing an ongoing pattern with every visit I make, I always wait over an hour in the waiting room. I understand if it is one visit, but more than one visit is getting out of hand.”
