ABOUT WESTERN MONTANA ADDICTION SERVICES IN POLSON, MT
The center located in Polson, Mont. is one of four facility operated by Western Montana Addiction Services and is part of Western Montana Mental Health Center. The Polson office provides outpatient services and the ACT program for adult men and women.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
According to the center’s website, the facility offers the ACT Program, which is a three-phase process. The first step is assessment, which is done one-on-one with a certified chemical dependency counselor.
Next, patients will participate in the course step or four class session for a total of 12 hours. The last step is treatment. Patients are assessed and are recommended to a treatment program which could include standard outpatient treatment, intensive outpatient, inpatient, and/or continuing care.
The center’s website indicated the Polson office also provides chemical dependency evaluations, case management, enhanced outpatient programs, relapse prevention, continuing care, and DUI Monitoring.
The center also offers a range of prevention services including after-school programs, mentoring, and parenting classes to community education services.

The center’s website indicates staff at Western Montana Addiction Services includes certified chemical dependency counselors. The one alum who was surveyed by Best-rehabs.com at the of this writing gave the facility four out of five stars for the staff’s experience.
REVIEWS
At the time of this writing, one alum has been polled by Best-rehabs.com. The reviewer expressed that Western Montana Addiction Services is an affordable and well-maintained facility with experienced staff, but that the program lacks leisure, exercise, and holistic treatment options. The anonymous client gave the facility four out of five stars for treatment effectiveness but did not comment on accommodations & amenities or meals & nutrition.
She felt that the facility could improve upon their teaching style, noting that a lot of the teaching she received felt redundant. She also added that even though she did not participate in breath testing, she still felt she had the support of facility staff.
FINANCING
According to the center’s website, public funds are available for clients who are financially eligible. Western Montana Addiction Services accepts Medicaid, Healthy Montana Kids, and other insurances. The ACT program costs $400.
