Lake Shore Behavioral Health, Inc., located in Orchard Park, N.Y., offers outpatient treatment to adolescents and adults struggling with substance abuse. The organization has a total of thirteen locations in New York that offer mental health counseling, addiction services, care for the homeless, and one residential treatment facility for women.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
The facility’s treatment program uses a holistic treatment model and evidence-based practices. Lake Shore Behavioral Health is able to treat clients who have a dual diagnosis.

Lake Shore Behavioral Health has an outpatient treatment program specifically for adolescents between the ages of 13 and 17. Clients in the adolescent treatment program receive individual counseling, group counseling, family support services, primary care physician/pediatrician coordination, and mental health counseling for co-occurring disorders such as anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression, family and relationship problems, obsessive compulsive disorder, and schizophrenia.

The two alumni polled by Best-rehabs.com at time of writing gave generally positive reviews. Both alumni gave Lake Shore Behavioral Health perfect five star ratings for the treatment effectiveness, accommodations and amenities, and meals and nutrition. The alumni also praised the staff’s level of training and experience. “Staff works together with client on individual needs,” one anonymous alum wrote, “It’s more than just a job to them.”
The other alum praised the facility’s 24/7 dedication and the fact that it offered “all group and individual therapy sessions…numerous times a day and week,” but expressed annoyance with the facility’s waiting list.
On Google, there is an overall rating of four out of five stars based on five total reviews. [1] The reviews were mostly positive, but only one reviewer left commentary explaining their experience. Reviewer J.K., who gave three stars, indicated that their experiences with staff had been inconsistent: “Some counselors are really good and some act like they are there for a paycheck and really dont care. The doctors there are really good and helpful, but unfortunately, some other staff is not.”
