ABOUT CAROLINAS HEALTHCARE SYSTEM – FIRST STEP
First Step is the substance abuse treatment center of Carolinas Healthcare System, located in Monroe, N.C. Our facility provides both inpatient and outpatient treatment services, and we also offer on-site medical detoxification. Our treatment programs are designed for both children and adults.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
We provide personalized treatment plans that incorporate 12-Step programming, education, and the importance of having a strong support network. Our clients begin their journey with detoxification, if necessary, before proceeding to residential or intensive outpatient programs. Our experienced staff works closely with each client to help them understand their addiction. Dual-diagnosis treatment and DWI assessments are available as well.
Our intensive outpatient programming involves group sessions, relapse prevention strategies, and individual counseling. We also offer partial hospitalization, outpatient, and inpatient programming for children and teenagers who are dealing with behavioral problems.
We provide aftercare services for both clients and their families.
