ABOUT TRANSFORMATIONS WELLNESS CENTER
Transformations Wellness Center, located in Klamath Falls, Oregon, offers residential treatment to adults struggling with substance abuse. Located in a beautiful small town in southern Oregon, the coed residential facility provides supportive rehabilitation in a home-like setting. The mission of the facility is to care for the whole person with an individual approach to treatment for each client.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
The facility’s treatment program emphasizes a complete abstinence lifestyle obtained through a holistic treatment approach that meets the physical, emotional, spiritual, social, and mental health needs of all clients. The program uses only evidence based and evidence-supported treatment practices.
In order to be admitted, clients must first complete an assessment to determine their needs and screen for any mental health concerns. Most clients remain in treatment for an average of 90 days.
Throughout treatment, the facility uses a variety of treatment methods including The Matrix Model, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, 12-Step facilitation, and training on various skills such self-esteem, life skills, anger management, etc. The program provides education on the Stages of Change and focuses relapse prevention following treatment.
Throughout treatment, clients receive over 42 hours of programming including group and individual counseling. Clients are encouraged to explore their own beliefs on spirituality throughout treatment. Counselors use motivational interviewing techniques to help clients realize solutions to their problems and lead to great success during treatment and overall in recovery.
Clients are required to complete chores at the residence and cook all of their own meals. Residents are expected to attend all 12-Step, church, or other group meetings offered at the house and are also expected to be employed or soon become employed after starting treatment.
STAFF CREDENTIALS
The treatment team includes a physician’s assistant who also serves as the medical director, several counselors- most of whom are certified drug and alcohol counselors, resident assistants, and other administrative and support staff.
ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES
The facility offers 25 beds for coed clients with gender-specific sleeping areas. The men’s facility is set up dorm-style and the women’s rooms are shared with 3-5 women per room in a home-like setting. The facility is equipped with laundry facilities, a telephone, and utilities that are all included with the monthly fees.
REVIEWS
At the time of this writing there have been one staff member polled by Best-rehabs.com. The staff member gave a very positive review of the facility. The staff member, J.E.C., gave the facility five out of five stars for the staff’s willingness to put patients’ interests first, five stars for the credentials/experience of medical staff, and five stars for the credentials/experience of addiction treatment staff. He also gave five stars for the overall quality of patient treatment and care. The staff member, a current employee at the time of this writing, wrote that the facility does take insurance, including health plans offered by the state of Oregon.
On the facility’s Facebook page, which it can manage, there is an overall rating of 4.6 out of five stars based on 11 total reviews. Most individuals gave the facility a positive rating. Alum A.M., who gave five stars, had a great experience at the facility. She wrote “Thank you TWC for the scariest, amazing chance you gave me to save my life.. I’m so blessed to have you all in my journey with me. A.B., another alum, supported that viewpoint. FINANCING
The cost of treatment at the facility is $400 per month. The facility accepts insurance including Oregon Health Plan and other private insurance. The facility offers a sliding scale fee for those who qualify.
