Located in Salem, Ore., Union Gospel Mission Recovery Services offers a wide range of services for people struggling with substance use, homelessness, and mental health disorders. The center is faith-based, and its substance us program is a long-term, residential program.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
According to Union Gospel Mission Recovery Services’ website, the treatment center’s New Life Fellowship Program is the center’s recovery program. People typically stay in this program for more than 18 months.
Programming includes a “stabilization process, transformation of false of beliefs to truth, transitioning into new behaviors, and finding employment.”
The center’s Men’s Mission and Simonka Place for Women and Children offers learning and employment services. The learning center offers preparation for GED exams and offers individual planning. The employment services help men prepare to re-enter the workforce.
The treatment center offers men who need stable employment and housing tools for success, such as resume and cover letter preparation, interview coaching, connections to employers, and stable housing. Other services include intensive case-management, permanent supportive housing, government program assistance, and counseling.
Spiritual guidance, life-skill classes, relapse prevention, mental health support, and informal counseling is offered at the center.
