Located in Salem, Ore., Union Gospel Mission Recovery Services offers a wide range of services for individuals facing substance abuse, homelessness, and mental health disorders. The center is faith-based, and its substance abuse program is a long-term, residential program.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
According to Union Gospel Mission Recovery Services’ website, the center’s recovery program is called the New Life Fellowship Program, where individuals typically stay for more than 18 months. The program includes a stabilization process, transformation of false beliefs to truth, transitioning into new behaviors, and finding employment.
The Men’s Mission and Simonka Place for Women and Children at the center provide learning and employment services. The learning center offers GED exam preparation and individual planning, while the employment services assist men in preparing for re-entry into the workforce.
The treatment center also offers employment and housing tools for success, such as resume and cover letter preparation, interview coaching, connections to employers, and stable housing.
