ABOUT EMBARK RECOVERY CENTER
Located in a serene, forested area outside of Prescott, Arizona, Embark Recovery Center offers long-term residential treatment and intensive outpatient programs (IOP) for adult men struggling with addiction or co-occurring disorders, one of 47 percent of facilities to do so. The facility does not provide on-site detoxification services.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
According to the facility’s website, Embark Recovery Center’s residential program provides clients with a safe, structured environment in a homelike setting. Along with primary treatment services, men also learn essential life skills such as budgeting, conflict resolution, emotion regulation, and employment training. One of the center’s primary treatment goals is to help clients find a job along with achieving sobriety.
Upon entry, all clients undergo an initial evaluation that helps inform a tailored treatment curriculum. When appropriate, medication management is available to assist with any psychiatric issues. With treatment based in the 12-Steps, programming facilitates community-based AA and NA meetings, daily group therapy, weekly individual counseling sessions, trauma workshops, and relapse prevention education.
Recreational therapy is also integral to the center’s treatment plan, and men participate in weekly adventure outings, which may include equine therapy, hiking the nearby area, and rock climbing. Upon completion of the residential program, residents may enroll in the IOP track as a step-down service. Referrals to sober living homes in and around Prescott are also available.
