ABOUT NEW BEGINNINGS CASA
Located in Warren, Ark. and operating across ten neighboring county areas, New Beginnings C.A.S.A. (NBCASA) offers residential and outpatient (OP) services to adults residing in those areas. Social and medical detox services are available.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
After receiving a diagnosis of alcohol or substance abuse, clients may enroll in one NBCASA’s programs. The residential program is divided into five levels. In the first level, clients develop an initial treatment and aftercare plan, beginning with a detox period for three to five days with the optional use of pre-approved medications.
The next four levels each take six days, meaning treatment lasts on average a month. In the second level, clients further develop their treatment plans, orient to the Our Residential Program, enroll in individual counseling, and undergo 28 hours per week of group didactics. The next two levels continue this treatment, and in the final level clients finalize their aftercare plan and referrals. During treatment, clients participate in 12-step AA/NA group meeting, evidence-based treatment services, various therapeutic techniques, and structured course work.
Several group programs offered at NBCASA include an outpatient treatment group offering individual and conjoint counseling sessions and workshops in early recovery skills and relapse prevention. Clients and their loved ones must attend the family education group each week for up to twelve weeks. All OP clients are required to submit a urinary test during treatment. OP hours at the Warren clinic are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.
