ABOUT DARE U TO CARE

Located in Los Angeles, Calif., Dare U To Care is a Christian-based, long-term residential program for men and women who are struggling with addiction. The residential program also accepts women with children up to 13 years old. In addition, the organization operates four sober living homes. Founded in 1993, Dare U To Care is a non-profit facility, which comprise 54.9 percent of treatment facilities in California.

TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT

According to the facility’s website, residents typically stay in the residential program for six to 12 months, depending on the needs of each client. Many residents are court-ordered or are referred to treatment.

Dare U to Care utilizes the 12-Step social model and puts an emphasis on continued education, spiritual development, improving life skills, and substance misuse education. The treatment center has a strong aftercare alumni program.

Programming includes group meetings that focus on topics such as relapse prevention, spiritual empowerment, 12-step meetings, Bible study, anger management, domestic violence, grief and loss, drug education, communication, and parenting.

The treatment center also provides individual, group, and family counseling along with access to medical and social services. Dare U To Care also operates Dare U To Care Grill, a soul food restaurant where patients can work during recovery to learn new job skills.
