Part of Ken Seeley Communities (KSC), an upscale sober living network, The Alexander is a resort-style, women’s-only sober living facility located in Palm Springs, Calif. According to KSC’s website, the organization also offers a variety of treatment options, including medically managed detox, day treatment, and outpatient treatment (OP).
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
According to KSC’s website, the organization approaches addiction as a chronic and progressive disease. Clients are encouraged to work toward developing a five-year plan for sobriety, rather than focus on 30 days of treatment.
While The Alexander appears to offer only sober living accommodations, KSC’s website indicates that clients may access medically managed detox, day treatment, and OP through separate facilities. Both day treatment and OP address substance abuse and co-occurring disorders through individual therapy, group therapy, addiction education, relapse prevention workshops, and life skills training.

Private or shared bedrooms are available, and each bed comes with luxury linens, pillow-top mattresses, and down comforters. Residents provide their own food.
Along with the facility’s upscale living accommodations, The Alexander has a large pool, and the grounds feature relaxing fountains and peaceful gardens. Residents are within walking distance of local 12-step meetings and the Tahquitz Canyon, which is known for its hiking trails.

M.D., the sole alum polled by Best-rehabs.com at the time of this writing, gave the facility five out of five stars for its treatment effectiveness and accommodations. “This is the place to go,” she wrote.
On the Facebook page for all of Ken Seeley Communities’ services, which may be managed by the organization itself, 45 individuals provided an average rating of 4.5 out of five stars.[1] Reviewers complimented the center’s staff and amenities, and some credited the facility for their sobriety. “I would not be where I am today without the support and opportunity given me from KSC,” Kaycie wrote in a representative review.
