TREATMENT AND ASSESSMENT
The Bella Vita has a strong research background and utilizes evidence-based treatments. The process starts with a 360-degree assessment to identify the “pieces” in the client’s life that have been disrupted to lead to an eating disorder. This information is analyzed to understand why the client is abusing food and to create an individualized plan of care.
Residential treatment is the highest level of care, during which clients engage in individual, family, group, and multi-group programming. The approach combines counseling treatment with art therapy, yoga, meditation, life-enhancement and creativity groups, and recreational activities. As residents progress, they can choose to step down to another level of care.
Day treatment, or the Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), involves clients in a range of activities, discussions, and exercises. PHP clients attend for eight hours per day up to six days per week. IOP clients attend afternoon or evening sessions for four hours per day for up to six days per week. After a client discharges from the structured programs, they may receive therapeutic and nutritional support through OP services.
