Windward Way Recovery Reviews

I highly recommend Windward Way if you have a love one struggling with addiction . Every Staff member went above and beyond making our Family fill confident , from the first phone call of getting my Grandson admitted till the end of his stay. We were encouraged, kept updated, and felt that they loved him and were a God send in his journey. It was very hard sending him from Georgia to California. But it was the Best decision him and our family ever made. Special thanks to Shaun Meehan . We will never forget you. God Bless each of you at Windward Way. You each have a Servants Heart. You saved my Grandsons Life. We are forever thankful.
Windward way set me up for success. They provided me with the tools to help keep me sober. If you’re ready and willing, Windward Way made my family and I feel safe through the whole process. My case manager was in constant contact with my family members that helped keep them at peace. I’m happy to say that Windward is still a big part of my life, and I couldn’t thank all the staff enough.
Garry was great. Others not so good. They lie about including the family and send home with no follow up plan and no assistance.
I went through Windward Way about a year and a half ago. I came into this fantastic treatment center detoxing from amphetamines and opiates, and as uncomfortable and broken as I was, I was grateful to be in a place as thorough and equipped as this treatment center. From the get go, I noticed that staff were both capable and empathetic towards myself and other clients. I found a great appreciation for this program through staff and clinicians who I could relate to because of their own struggles with addiction and their subsequent recovery from it. More than anything, Windward Way helped me see that there was hope for me and that I could lay down the groundwork for a healthier, more fulfilling life by maintaining self awareness and consistency. Windward Way also introduced me to 12 Step Programs, which I had never been involved in before. Staff were all very knowledgeable of AA/NA and led by example, compelling me to stay involved after treatment had been completed. This introduction to 12 step programs, paired with the group sessions, therapy and support of staff helped me find hope and self love. They all did a great job of positioning the severity of my situation, with an uplifting message The facilities here are great. The upkeep of the properties is top notch and well maintained. All of us were well provided for with resources and aid to help us deal with legal and medical issues. Staff, clinicians and doctors made themselves readily available, which made me feel comfortable and cared for. The regular outings once a week definitely helped us get out of our heads. It was a time to relax and have some fun, which I believe was important to the experience. Windward Way most definitely has allowed me to change for the better, and I am forever grateful.
After sixteen years clean and sober I relapsed. I arrived at Windward Way emotionally paralyzed, raw, hopeless, and suicidal. From the moment I arrived I knew my decision to seek help was the seed to a brighter future. The shame in admittance of my powerlessness quickly changed from a deep rooted shame into a positive, as my journey unfolded that helplessness shifted to strength. I became proactive as I embraced a gift not many get to experience in life the gift in taking time to work on self, and work I did. I found that surrendering was not defeat as the team allowed me to feel safe enough to let go to deal with the circumstances of my life. Windward Way literally saved my life due to the immense support of Windward Way’s clinical team, my case manager, doctor, therapist, and the genuine generosity of the support staff. Yet the greatest value was the fellowship of like minds as I maneuvered through each day, some difficult, some joyous gradually rooting in self awareness, love and achievements. I found that the longer time I took to work on my self the better self I was becoming, that for every time I reached the top of a mountain a new mountain appears and to just keep climbing providing me a foundation to live life on life’s terms.
