ABOUT THE MUSTARD SEED INN
The Mustard Seed Inn is a 73-bed transitional living facility for homeless adults in recovery. Located in St. Petersburg, Florida, the 20-year old facility is operated by The WestCare Foundation, a non-profit organization that provides health services to individuals and families. According to the facility’s website, the Mustard Seed Inn accepts men and women with alcohol and drug addictions including those with co-occurring disorders.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
After detoxing or attending residential treatment at one of West Care Florida’s other facilities, clients are admitted into this long-term program. Treatment is evidence-based and utilizes a client-centered approach. Clients can stay for as long as 24 months if needed.
Programming features counseling, case management, job support, and other recovery-based services. As stated on the website, the primary goal of treatment at the Mustard Seed Inn is to help clients transition into permanent housing in the community.

No information is available about staff at the Mustard Seed Inn. Two alumni polled by Best-rehabs.com to date rated staff’s level of training and experience four and five out of five stars.
ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES
The Mustard Seed Inn is a three-story building that was formerly a hotel and is located in downtown St. Petersburg. Men and women stay in separate shared rooms. There are no special amenities listed on the facility’s website however, clients are able to access community services in the area. The center is proximate to two of the largest VA health centers in the U.S.
WHAT ALUMNI SAY
At time of writing, the two alumni polled by Best-rehabs.com gave the facility positive ratings. Both alumni rated its visitor policy four out five stars and its cleanliness three and four stars, but one rated its exercise and leisure options four stars and its connectivity only two stars, while the other rated exercise and leisure options two stars and connectivity four stars.
Alumni praised the great counselors, valuable resources and clean living environment. Alum Russel wrote: “They know what works and what will cause you to fail. As long as you do not have an attitude of indifference you can and will get better with time.” The other anonymous alum wrote, “its a place where you can get care in both substance abuse and mental health issues.”
