ABOUT LAKEHAVEN RECOVERY CENTER

LakeHaven Recovery Center is located in Pompano Beach, Florida, approximately 36 miles north of Miami. It offers outpatient-based treatment programs for adults and adolescents struggling with substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders. The center provides a partial hospitalization program (PHP) and an intensive outpatient program (IOP), as well as specialized tracks for pregnant women, first responders, and a Christian-based program track. TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT

Before treatment begins, clients at LakeHaven Recovery Center undergo an initial substance abuse and psychiatric assessment. This helps determine an appropriate level of care and identify individual client needs. The center’s programming combines the 12-Step model of recovery with evidence-based modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing (MI) to assist clients in modifying destructive behavior and setting recovery goals.

During treatment, clients are assigned a primary therapist who provides individual therapy and guidance. Group and family therapy sessions are also attended, along with psychoeducational groups and 12-step workshops that guide clients through the first three steps of the fellowship. Additionally, clients participate in daily 12-step meetings both on and off-site. To aid in minimizing the discomfort of withdrawal and reducing cravings, medically-assisted treatment with Naltrexone and Vivitrol may be used.

In order to address co-occurring disorders, the facility utilizes eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) to treat trauma-related issues. Clients may also engage in neuro-feedback sessions to address maladaptive responses to emotional or psychological issues. In addition to traditional treatment options, LakeHaven offers guided yoga, Tai Chi, art and music therapy, and physical conditioning.

Following treatment, LakeHaven offers job coaching through its Pathways 2 Work program, as well as case management services to assist with any legal, employment, and/or social issues. The center offers day and evening intensive outpatient programs (IOPs), which consist of nine hours of weekly programming for four weeks. Transitional living facilities are also available, along with no-cost aftercare support groups and activities organized by an alumni organization.

LakeHaven Recovery Center Reviews

The intake coordinator is a sales person and will sell you the world. It is a run down facility with minimum nutrition. You are treated poorly and they take advantage of vulnerable individuals with dependencies. They mistreat the patients. They don't let you leave when you want, especially if you are there at your own will. They make lots of threats, bully and are not nurturing at all. --SHAME ON THEM!!
I had a son go there,he's back and is in worse shape then when he Left !! SMH
My son attended and was helped but they billed thousands of dollars of lab tests every day he was there. They did not draw blood or do a urine test everyday. The worst is that when he sucessfully completed the program we only received a short email that he completed. The court wants them to sign a simple form, I cannot reach anyone, always transferred to a voicemail. There is no office staff,or director that can be reached. DO NOT SEND ANYONE THERE IF THEY WILL NEED ANY VERIFICATION OF TREATMENT. All they want is there money then you are toast!
This recovery treatment center is run more like a jail with money motivating them instead of giving their clients the best possible treatment. My loved one who had attended for 60 days was told she would receive all of her assignments and certificate only to be told a month after being discharged that they were all shredded without ever being sent to her and she did not give consent to do so, I was also told she would receive them. Staff are incompetent employees who run the family around in circles when they have questions and on top of it they cannot be reached nor does anyone answer the 1-800 number they have online. They have absolutely no issues sending multiple emails and calling when they need funds added to the patients account. They recently had a merge of treatment centers and during that time my loved one didn't receive any treatment or sessions she was supposed to and that were already paid for, do not send your loved one here unless you'd like to be fed a bunch of lies.
Unethical company.
