TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
While treatment at the Heart Women’s campus is faith-based, evidence-based recovery methods and relapse prevention techniques are also utilized. The facility notes on its website that they “have developed a program that focuses on addiction as a lifestyle related health problem with biological, psychological, sociological, and spiritual dimensions.” A personal faith in Jesus Christ is what the treatment center believes will allow their clients to achieve long-term sobriety.
The program lasts eight week and includes group and individual therapy, along with 12-step meetings, addiction education, regular Bible study and devotionals, and church services. In addition, every individual is assigned specific on-campus duties designed to help them forge a new path to responsible behavior.
Recreational and team sport activities are also incorporated into the program. A family education day is offered for loved ones.
The treatment team includes certified alcohol and drug counselors. The facility’s website also stresses their dedication to faith-based recovery, noting: “While counselors are thoroughly trained in the process of individual counseling, group counseling, crisis counseling and family education, they recognize that the ultimate guidance for the counseling process is the Holy Spirit.”
ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES
Residents are housed in two 3,500 square-foot dormitories that are set on 34 acres of lush countryside. Visitation is allowed on weekends after a client has been in treatment for more than 14 days.
