ABOUT RECOVERY CONCEPTS
Located off the Tri-State Tollway in Hazel Crest, Ill., Recovery Concepts is a methadone clinic and outpatient treatment center that offers services for chemically dependent adults ages 18 and older (individuals age 17 are accepted with parental consent). In order to be eligible, clients’ primary drug of choice must be opiates such as heroin or prescription pain medication. However, the facility’s website notes that detoxification services are also available for alcohol withdrawal.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
Before admission, all individuals are given a thorough medical, psychiatric, and drug abuse assessment.
Recovery Concepts uses methadone and Suboxone maintenance programs to treat opiate-use disorder. The outpatient program allows individuals who are struggling with opioid addiction to continue to attend work and school and meet family obligations while working toward long-term recovery.
The staff at Recovery Concepts works to find the correct dosage and medication to help individuals detox and recover over the short and long term. Each client’s progress is monitored throughout treatment, and the clinic will help arrange continuing care plans and outside treatment with other medical providers, if needed.
STAFF CREDENTIALS
Led by a medical director, the treatment team includes a nursing staff, counselors certified by the Illinois Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Professional Certification Association, and support staff.
WHAT ALUMNI SAY
At the time of this writing, Recovery Concepts has received two alumni reviews. S.A. offered negative feedback, giving the facility a low rating for its treatment effectiveness and complaining about rude staff. A.K. awarded the rehab a higher rating for treatment effectiveness and wrote: “Some days I hate this place some days it isn’t too bad… I always went early in the morning and 90% of the time it is in and out.”
Reviews from secondary sources were also mixed. On Google, Recovery Concepts received a low rating from Anthony, who left no commentary. On CiteHealth, the rehab earned a high rating from an anonymous reviewer, who also left no details.
FINANCING
According to Recovery Concept’s website, the methadone maintenance program, Suboxone program, and alcohol detoxification program each require intake fees between $200 and $300, depending on the service. Each program also requires additional fees throughout treatment — $65 a week for methadone maintenance and $100 per visit for all other services.
