ABOUT CENTER FOR ALCOHOL & DRUG SERVICES, INC.

Center for Alcohol & Drug Services, Inc. (CADS) operates six facilities in the Quad City area of Iowa and Illinois. CADS is a network of treatment facilities that provide services for adults and adolescents struggling with chemical dependency. The range of services offered by CADS includes residential treatment, outpatient treatment, medication-assisted outpatient treatment, women and children’s treatment, and transitional housing for adults. CADS also offers on-site detoxification services at its Country Oaks facility in Iowa.

TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT

Clients who enter the treatment program at CADS first undergo an initial evaluation to determine the appropriate level of care. If a higher level of monitoring and structure is needed, the client may be referred to residential care. In the residential program, clients can benefit from a highly-structured schedule of counseling sessions, educational workshops, and peer-led support groups. These activities are designed to help clients learn new coping skills and maintain sobriety.

CADS offers outpatient programs at both intensive and extended levels of care, depending on the client’s needs. Both adult and adolescent outpatient programs include individual, family, and group counseling sessions. The length of the program is tailored to meet the needs of each individual.

In addition to traditional outpatient programs, CADS operates a methadone outpatient program, which provides medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for individuals struggling with opioid addiction. Clients in this program participate in counseling and education sessions while receiving methadone treatment.

CADS also operates a Women and Children’s Services program that offers ancillary and supportive services to empower mothers recovering from chemical dependency. Furthermore, CADS is licensed to provide DUI evaluation and risk education classes for offenders in both Iowa and Illinois.

To provide ongoing support, CADS offers continuing care programs for both adults and adolescents. Additionally, a halfway house is available in Iowa for adults who require ongoing support after primary chemical dependency treatment.
