ABOUT LIGHTHOUSE AT MANAHAWKIN
Part of the Lighthouse network based in New Jersey, a network which is affiliated within the larger umbrella network Recovery Centers of America, Lighthouse at Manahawkin (LM) offers intensive outpatient (IOP) and outpatient (OP) services to adult clients seeking recovery from addiction. Detox services are available at another facility in the Lighthouse network.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
As a step down from a partial hospitalization program offered at other facilities, the IOP program offered by Lighthouse helps clients further their recovery skills. Treatment sessions are three hours per day, three days per week, and include individual, group, and family therapy; educational resources about the disease of addiction, and an introduction to 12-step recovery and meetings. To enroll in IOP care, clients must prove abstinence or be transferring from residential treatment.
OP treatment provides treatment services similar to IOP but on a smaller scale. Clients attend 45- to 90-minute sessions one to three times per week, which involves individual, group, and family therapy. Psychiatric and medical services are available.
STAFF CREDENTIALS
LM employs counselors and clinicians. The medical director is a doctor with 36 years of experience in Addiction Medicine. The CEO has a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology and more than 15 years of management experience in the substance abuse field.
