ABOUT REHOBOTH MCKINLEY CHRISTIAN HEALTH CARE SERVICES
The Behavioral Health Services (BHS) unit at Rehoboth McKinley Christian Health Care Services (RMCHCS) in Gallup, N.M. provides inpatient and outpatient substance abuse treatment for adults. Transitional housing is also offered.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
All clients are assessed upon admission to determine the appropriate course of care. Inpatient addiction recovery services typically last 90 days and are rooted in 12-step based programming. Clients will participate in educational opportunities, relapse prevention, anger management workshops, and a work rehabilitation program. Graduates of the program may participate in transitional housing in a drug-free environment for four months.
Outpatient mental health services are available for children ages six and up. Treatment includes individual, family, and couples counseling and medication monitors and evaluations. Treatment is provided by licensed clinicians and the emergency department is on-call for behavioral health consultations.
STAFF CREDENTIALS
The behavioral health treatment team includes registered nurses, case managers, intake coordinators, eight behavioral health technicians, licensed alcohol and drug counselors, and a clinical director.
ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES
While there is currently no information provided by the facility regarding its living arrangements and related offerings, the one alumni surveyed by Best-rehabs.com at the time of this writing gave the facility two out of five stars for its accommodations and amenities.
WHAT ALUMNI SAY
The only alum responding to a Best-rehabs.com survey to date gave a negative review of the facility, giving mostly one-star reviews on holistic programming, treatment effectiveness, quality of individual and group counseling, and staff’s level of experience.
On its Facebook page, which the facility has the ability to manage, RMCHCS received 3.5 out of five stars based on 50 reviews encompassing the whole hospital.[1]
WHAT STAFF SAY
Though no current or former employees have responded to a Best-rehabs.com poll, reviews on Indeed reveal mostly positive reactions. A behavioral health technician wrote: “I would say it is simple place to work with great people, simple duty details, and good team work.”[2]
FINANCING
RMCHCS’s inpatient program is no-cost without income limitations but only accepts New Mexico residents. The outpatient program accepts Medicare, Medicaid, most insurance plans, and offers special programs for uninsured clients.
