About Catholic Family Center – Restart Outpatient Rehabilitation
Located in Rochester, N.Y. near Lake Huron, Catholic Family Center provides a full continuum of treatment for youth and adults (as well as their families) who are struggling with a behavioral health or substance abuse disorder.
The outpatient substance abuse program is for those 18 years and up who have a history of mental health and chemical dependency disorders and who are experiencing challenges with key life skills.
Treatment & Assessment
The outpatient rehab can facilitate treatment through all stages of recovery from stabilization to relapse prevention. Holistic treatment that heals the person as a whole is the focus. The center provides evaluations and treatment for substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders in this day program for adults.
Clients receive individual, group, and family therapy as part of their personalized treatment plans, and staff use evidence-based practices such as the motivational approach. There is also treatment for trauma, GED support, medication management through Suboxone, a specialized track for Spanish-speaking clients, gender-specific programming, and on-site alcoholics anonymous (AA) and narcotics anonymous (NA) meetings.

Catholic Family Center employs about 400 professionals across all its programs. Staff include social workers, case managers, and experienced counselors.

Most gave either one or five stars. Those who left positive feedback thanked the program for saving their lives. “CFC is one of the most genuine and true agencies out there. The center also received negative commentary. Sarah gave one star and wrote: “They just want your money. Recommending treatment to those who don’t need it.” Another reviewer said that staff “spoke to me like garbage.”

Best-rehabs.com has received a single survey response to date, and it is from a staff member who gave positive ratings. Four and five out of five stars were awarded across the board other than for 12-Step inclusion with was only given two stars, suggesting that such programs are lacking. Joanne listed many of the services offered and finished by saying, “Many staff and clients return because of the positive experience.”
Financing
The facility primarily runs on Medicaid, Family Health Plus, and private insurance, though self-pay sliding scale fees are also available, according to the rehab center’s website.
