ABOUT SAFE HAVEN TREATMENT SERVICES
Safe Haven Treatment Services is a behavioral health organization in central York, Pennsylvania. Established in 1993, Safe Haven today runs residential treatment, partial hospitalization (PHP), and intensive outpatient (IOP) programs. Detoxification and Vivitrol services are also on offer.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
Safe Haven offers a full range of treatment options to match each client’s needs with an appropriate level of care. In the residential program, participants benefit from various evidence-based treatment modalities, like neurofeedback, a psychotherapeutic technique that improves brain functioning, and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), a practice that helps change negative attitudes and behaviors. Yoga and music and art therapy are also included.
For individuals transitioning from an inpatient setting as well as those without the need or means for residential care, there are several outpatient options available. Meeting five days a week, six hours at a time, the PHP track involves both group and individual therapy, personalized assessment and plan, and continuing care. Designed similarly in its offerings, and for individuals already busy pursuing their life goals, the IOP meets four days a week, three hours at a time.
Safe Haven also runs a weekly relapse prevention group as part of its traditional outpatient program as well as weekly individual therapy sessions, offering clients opportunity to address more private, sensitive matters.
Per its website, Safe Haven employs a team of master’s-level therapists and certified advanced alcohol and drug counselors (CAADCs).
