Our treatment approach focuses on the holistic wellness of mind, body, and spirit, and treatment plans are customized to meet individual needs. ABOUT THE CENTER: A PLACE OF HOPE
For over three decades, The Center: A Place of Hope has been a leading provider of residential treatment for adults and adolescents dealing with addiction. We are located in the peaceful town of Edmonds, Washington, just 20 minutes north of Seattle. Our facility specializes in treating co-occurring disorders, such as depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), trauma and abuse, and eating disorders.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
On average, patients stay with us for a period of four weeks. Our treatment approach addresses the needs of the whole person, encompassing the mind, body, and spirit. Upon admission, patients undergo comprehensive psychological, medical, fitness, and nutritional assessments.
Our personalized treatment plans include both individual and group therapy sessions. We also offer specialized programs for individuals who have experienced emotional, physical, or sexual abuse, sexual assault, abusive relationships, and other traumatic events.
We provide a High-Profile Privacy Program for clients seeking maximum privacy and security during their treatment. This program requires a minimum stay of five days, with the majority of clients staying for four weeks or longer.
Upon completion of treatment, we offer a week-long alumni program that includes personal phone calls, educational classes, and therapy sessions. Our dedicated alumni coordinator is available to provide ongoing support.
STAFF CREDENTIALS
Our team at The Center includes medical doctors, mental health counselors, chemical dependency counselors, fitness trainers, registered nurses, and eating disorder specialists. We also have clergy members available to provide spiritual guidance.
ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES
During their stay, patients reside in comfortable condominium-style apartments featuring brand-new kitchens, living rooms, and private decks and patios. Walk-in closets are also provided.
Our main treatment facility is designed to promote relaxation and tranquility, with clean leather furniture, fireplaces, and soothing background music.
Patients have access to a fully equipped fitness facility that includes basketball courts, cardio equipment, yoga rooms with professional trainers, and free weights. The fitness center also features a juice bar and lounge. In addition, patients can enjoy tranquil walks through the nearby village, park, and beaches.

Testimonials from our alumni consistently highlight the exceptional treatment for co-occurring disorders and the expertise of our staff. However, some alumni identified a need for improved post-treatment support.
At the time of writing, twelve alumni have provided overwhelmingly positive feedback about their experience at The Center. Eleven individuals rated the effectiveness of our treatment with four out of five stars. Many reviewers praised both the staff and the stunning location. One alum, Tiffany, specifically mentioned the strength of our staff, but noted that The Center only provided one meal per day. She also mentioned concerns about the “discharge exit process support” and “post treatment support”.
On Google, The Center has received four out of five stars from 16 reviewers. The exceptional and caring staff and the beautiful setting were repeatedly highlighted in the reviews. Justin wrote, “The staff truly care and make sure your needs are met. The groups and classes are informative, and the extensive one-on-one time with the therapists is invaluable.” Another reviewer, J.M., added, “The facility and accommodations are top notch.”
Three Yelp reviewers also praised the facility, although two of them expressed dissatisfaction with certain aspects of their treatment experience. Megan mentioned that her vitals and blood work were not adequately monitored, leading to a medical emergency. However, Megan appreciated the staff who recognized the limitations of their facility and assisted in finding an alternative solution.
