ABOUT EATON CANYON TREATMENT CENTER

Located in Pasadena, Eaton Canyon Treatment Center (ECTC) provides residential treatment for adult men and women struggling with substance use disorders. The small, upscale Southern California rehab center offers spacious private rooms. ECTC is one of California’s fewer than 14 percent of residential treatment facilities to offer medically monitored detox for some addictions. Dual diagnosis treatment for co-occurring mood disorders is also available.

TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT

Treatment at Eaton Canyon Treatment Center begins with a medical and psychological evaluation, according to the facility’s website. Clients needing detoxification support for addiction to alcohol or benzodiazepines may receive care on-site, while those with opioid dependency are transported to another detox facility before beginning an ECTC program.

Residents participate in individualized treatment plans which are tailored to address specific addictions, including marijuana. Programming addresses such topics as anger management and self-esteem and incorporates education, 12-step meetings, process groups, and individual and family counseling. Among the models practiced are cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing (MI), and trauma-oriented Seeking Safety. The center’s introduction to spirituality involves guided meditation.
