TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
According to the organization’s website, Kaiser Permanente’s behavioral health services combine research and clinical practices and treatment depends on each individual’s needs and comfort level.
There is no further information on the facility’s website regarding its treatment program at the time of this writing. Three individuals surveyed by Best-rehabs.com indicated the program is fairly strong in its treatment of co-occurring disorders with ratings of three, four, and five out of five stars.
STAFF CREDENTIALS
Kaiser Permanente offers no information regarding the credentials of its behavioral health staff on its website or elsewhere at the time of this writing. Two individuals surveyed by Best-rehabs.com rated the staff’s level of experience four out of five stars and one gave it three stars.
WHAT ALUMNI SAY
Best-rehabs.com received survey data from one alum at the time of this writing which showed relatively neutral opinions of the program. The anonymous alum gave three out of five stars for all categories, including counseling options, family participation, and cost worthiness. The alum reported that the program “TEACHES,” but felt there was a “HIGH COST.”
Reviews of the rehab center from secondary sources provided mixed feedback from alumni. On CiteHealth, two alumni left opposite ratings of one and five out of five stars.[1] Reporting long-term sobriety, one anonymous alum wrote on CiteHealth: “Awesome program. I was ready, and willing, they gave me the science and encouraged the spirituality. Im in a much better place.” However, another anonymous alum wrote “They make you jump through so many hoops before getting the care you need. I want to get sober not jump through hoops.”
WHAT FRIENDS & FAMILY SAY
Best-rehabs.com received survey responses from two friends or family members of clients to date. Their survey responses indicated neutral feelings toward the program. While loved ones gave high marks of four and five out of five stars for counseling options and the treatment of co-occurring disorders, they offered only two stars for overall treatment effectiveness.
One anonymous loved one told Best-rehabs.com the facility had “Great programs” and wrote that a strength of the program was the “Rehab,” but a weakness was the food served to clients. Another anonymous friend or family member wrote that the help given through the program was a strength while the cost of treatment was a weakness.
In addition to Best-rehabs.com reviewers, an anonymous loved one on CiteHealth rated the rehab three out of five stars.
FINANCING
As a managed care organization, Kaiser Permanente offers behavioral health services through its own healthcare insurance plans. Costs are determined by client income and associated government subsidies. Kaiser Permanente’s Point Loma Medical Offices also accepts Medi-Cal, Medicaid, and Medicare.
