A Path to Serenity is a high-end, full service residential treatment facility serving women in the beautiful state of California. We believe that every individual struggling with substance addiction can and will be successful in recovering their life and moving forward, even those who have failed at other previous rehab attempts.
ABOUT PATH TO SERENITY IN VILLA PARK, CA
Path to Serenity, located in Villa Park, Calif., offers residential, detoxification, outpatient, and partial hospitalization treatment to women struggling with addiction. The facility is close to the cities of Anaheim and Orange and a few minutes away from John Wayne Airport. Path to Serenity also operates a separate men’s residential treatment facility.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
Path to Serenity’s treatment program follows a holistic approach incorporating the 12-step method. To be admitted, clients begin by contacting the facility for a clinical and psychological assessment. Most clients remain in residential treatment for at least 30 days. The Intensive Outpatient Day Treatment program meets five days a week with morning, afternoon, and evening sessions available. The Partial Hospitalization Program meets all day and is intended to be a step in between residential treatment and outpatient treatment.
Throughout treatment, clients receive five hours of daily group psychotherapy, nightly 12-step groups with transportation provided, weekly experiential sober outings, individual psychotherapy at least twice per week, meditation and professional mentoring, and education on fitness and nutrition. Referrals to academic and career opportunities within the community are provided to clients once treatment has been completed.
Path to Serenity offers unique activities including art therapy, yoga, meditation, cycling, beach volleyball, badminton, swimming, cooking, foosball, zumba, gardening, and pilates. Alternative therapies such as equine therapy and massage therapy are available at an additional cost. Families are included in treatment through regular support group meetings.
STAFF CREDENTIALS
The treatment team at Path to Serenity includes two Certified Substance Abuse Counselors, a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor, a Certified Addictions Treatment Counselor, three Marriage and Family Therapists, and a Registered Alcohol and Drug Technician.
ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES
Path to Serenity offers six beds for female clients in a secluded, residential setting. Both private and shared rooms are available. The facility is equipped with a modern kitchen and dining room, living room, and yoga/exercise room to increase the client’s comfort while in treatment. There are also additional amenities for clients to enjoy including a pool, large outdoor patio, chicken coop, fruit trees, and a trampoline.
REVIEWS
At the time of this writing there has been one staff member polled by Best-rehabs.com. The anonymous former employee expressed serious concerns with the leadership of Path to Serenity. The anonymous employee gave the facility five out of five stars for treatment effectiveness, five stars for accommodations and amenities, and four stars for meals and nutrition. She strongly agreed that there are many counseling options to choose from, strongly agreed that the facility is adequately equipped and staffed to treat co-occurring mental health problems, and strongly agreed that facility staff are experienced and well-trained. However, she stated she would not recommend the facility to friends or loved ones considering treatment.
The reviewer felt that a strength of the facility was the clinical staff. When asked about facility weaknesses, she wrote, “Tyrannical CEO who fails to understand legal and ethical boundaries, safety, and quality assurance of clients and staff.” She also added that, “Clinical treatment at the house was professional and effective, as myself and the other staff coordinated to create an effective group and individual psychotherapy/counseling schedule. Unfortunately…business practices are at best, unethical, and at worst, illegal, compromising and manipulating a vulnerable and fragile population.”
On the facility’s Google page, there is an overall rating of five out of five stars based on six total reviews. [1] Several reviewers mentioned the professionalism and genuine care they experienced at Path to Serenity. Loved one J.M., who gave five stars, called the facility “excellent.” He wrote, “They know how to save lives that are suffering from drugs and alcohol. Our cousin loved the beautiful facility and caring staff.” T.M., an alum, supported that viewpoint. T.M gave five stars and wrote, “The Team at Path to Serenity is First Class… You can feel the warmth, the care, and the professionalism from the first moment you call the admissions team.”
FINANCING
The cost of treatment at Path To Serenity is $15,000 per month. The facility accepts most PPO insurance plans. Clients are encouraged to contact the facility directly for additional information regarding the cost of treatment.
